3 years back i put a new complete clutch kit in my 99 5spd 3.0 ranger, i noticed i need a new clutch now again. The question i have is i noticed that you can just buy the Clutch Disc from auto parts places, is it a good idea to just replace the clutch disc and not the Pressure plate?. just trying to save a buck..

 

What kind of driving does this truck see? 3 years is a very short clutch life. You CAN replace just the disc but its really not recommended.

 

What kind of clutch did you install.

 

HELL NO! how do you know the clutch disk is the problem and not the pressure plate.
