Engine connector needs a sensor

I have a 2008 Ranger XLT with the 3.0 engine. I have just replaced engine with a rebuilt one. Got everything back in with one exception. I have a sensor connector wire that I can't locate where the sensor is. It comes out of the wiring by the back of the engine. The 2 wires are red with a purple stripe on one and white or tan with a brown stripe on the other. Attached are pictures of the wire and the connector. Help!! I am at a standstill until I get this figured out.

Don't have a 2008 3.0l wiring diagram
Have a 4.0l but no matches for a 2 wire sensor

BUT........some years the 3.0l has a 2 wire knock sensor, passenger side of block, center, below exhaust manifold

Looks like this: https://www.ebay.ca/itm/383013563899

The wire has heat insulation on it so could be for that
