Ordered injectors for my new 3.0 took it apart to install new injectors the ones I took out are blue at the base but ordered ones are just black. Is the blue telling me it’s a flex fuel engine
Welcome to the forum
There is no standard Color Code for fuel injectors, just FYI
The VIN for the vehicle will tell you if its a Gas Only or Flex Fuel
The 8th digit in the VIN is the Engine code
U = 3.0l Gas Only
V = 3.0l Flex Fuel
VIN is on the drivers door rear edge label or top of the dash, drivers side at the front, seen by looking down thru windshield
Include the Year of your Ranger in future posts
Ranger 3.0l only had flex fuel option from 1998 to 2003, and 2001-2003 used the same injector size, only 1998-2000 used different sizes

Do you remember the exact code numbers, it matters
Partial List is here: https://www.therangerstation.com/tec...II_codes.shtml
You can see by the number of codes the exact code is important
And what year Ranger?
