New Battery Time

Well i've had my stock Motorcraft BXT-59 battery in my truck since the day i bought it. Its about 8 years old.
Its finally starting to have issues with start ups.

So what do you guys recommend for a replacement?

I got an Everstart 900 amp, with 800 cold crank, its a little too big for the battery tray, but i made it fit.

My battery went out last weekend and it was the stock one as well

I would just go with the standard Red Top. You don't have any additional electrical devices o it will be more than enough.

Ive got a yellow top. If i had to do it again i would go with the red the yellow only has a 1 year warranty. Ive have not had any problems with my yellow to though and my truck always fires right up.

You could go with another Motorcraft one. It's hard to find batteries that last 8 years now. My stocker lasted around 8 years as well. But when it went I bought a Mastercraft 72 battery from Canadian Tire.

I know alot of people around here kinda hate on Duralast, but I just got one of the yellow
top Duralast gold's. 1000ca, 800cca and I like it, and the warranty is pretty good too, 3years free replacement, 8 years prorated, and they are made by Johnson Controls too. I was
thinking of going Optima, but the warranty with Duralast is much better, and it cost me
just under $100.

Great thanks for the info guys.
I was kinda thinking or getting another motorcrafter or a Duralast battery.
I dont have the funds for the optima type batteries, but who knows.

I have a Optima Red top and love it. I would use Duralast if Optimas are out of your price range.
