getting a different motor.

but really it all depends. theres not too much you can do to these motors to get em a decent hp boost thats in a decent price range.

if u had a 4cyl, turbos
if u had a 4.0L, supercharger

but with the 3.0....not too much.

its just that its not worth it for our motors..

 

The 3.0 responds to mods well.
But just like any motor HP. does not come cheap.The first thing you need is a tuner so you can get the full benefit of any mod you do.I know that NA my truck runs a lot better than it did stock.I've had people at the track swear I had a 4.0 under the hood.I love the look on there face when I tell them it's just a 3.0.
So a tuner,pulleys,roller rockers,headers and some exhaust work will wake the 3.0 up.Like I said not cheap but worth it if you plan on keeping the truck for a while.

BTW, I have had nitrous on my 3.0 since 30,000 mi. and it's just about to turn 100,000 mi. without a drip of oil or puff of smoke.
I love my 3.0.

 

best way to raise hp would be to buy something besides a ranger.

 

No way to get quick HP for cheap, especially for the 3.0L. Only thing is an Eaton supercharger, and they ain't cheap. If you want HP and love Ford, get a Mustang.

i saw a supercharger that was made for the 3.o its a electronic s/c...dont know how well it works....

i'd only recommend getting serious about the 3.0L if you have deep pockets.
