but that can only do so much... you're better off just buying another truck with the 4.0.. i mean dont get me wrong, i know of some people like Cody (07Sport) that really likes his 3.0.. so i guess its just preference. for me, 145 horsepower isnt enough.. for the stuff i wanted to do to it, it would be pointless.. so thats why i got the ram.

i ran 31's on my ranger same setup 3.0 with the 3.73 gears and i had an extended cab with the automatic... talk about powerless but i tolerated it...

I have the 3.0, every weekend i pull 2 jetskis down I70 at 80 with no problem. I only have 30's and the K&N FIPK tho.

damn, i wish my parents woulda payed to make my truck faster... 1100 outa my pocket for gears.


heres a thought, take your time, be very nice.. and talk her into a supercharger

how do you know your gearing setup?

Is there anyone aronud Evansville that is mechanically gifted that could help me with my truck?

go crawl under your truck, and on the diff there should me a metal tag.. go read that and tell us what it says..

you can also look at the tag in the door frame, but idk how to decypher(sp?) that, its up here somewhere

yah i got an 06 3.0 with the stock gearing and 31's and i have no problems doing 85. hell i cruised at 85 going to ocatilla wells a few months ago.

passes the rice trucks all the time going uphill. Maybe the 04s+ are different because I have NO problem at all.

I was pulling my boat this past weekend. I have no problem getting it off the ramps, but going down the highway id have to down shift to fourth it wouldnt stay up when in fifth and it wouldnt pull over 70 mph. I like the truck i dont want it to go super fast but i would like it to keep at 70 on the highway when im pulling, I was just curious is it the 3.0. is that the reason it cant keep it going in fifth, because it doesnt have the Horsepower???
