Ticking from engine.

Hey guys. I'm thinking of purchasing a 1996 Mazda b3000. I figured this was the best place to ask my questions. The truck is very cheap. My only concern is that it's making a ticking noise upon revving the engine and stops around 4k rpm. I have linked the video of the noise below. I'm thinking collapsed lifter but I'm not sure. I've also seen a video where it could be some sort of flaps in the intake making noise. Just wondering what everyone's opinion is. Thanks in advanced!

Welcome to the forum

Not hearing a tick?

Does sound like exhaust leak through

3.0l Vulcan doesn't have IMRC, flaps in the intake

Thanks for the welcome ! I agree I don't think that year has the plastic intake valves either. I agree with that. But hm, so I've heard exhaust leaks on v8s before so maybe that's why it sounded different. Does it make sens that after being warmed up the sound is only prevelant on deceleration. So I worked the throttle from the engine and it wasn't bad when revving up, but when revving down is when I heard it the most .
