Upper intake manifold question on 2003 ford ranger edge 3.0 v6
What is this tube inside where my pcv tube hooks up?
Is this tube supposed to be inside? It hooks up to nothing. Just slides all the way out. Im not sure of its purpose and don't know why it's in there. Do all intake manifolds have this? Just wondering if someone else prior maybe put this in there.

The tube connects to a hose with a 90-degree elbow. The other end of the hose connects to the PCV valve that inserts into the top of the driver side valve cover.

[QUOTE=DualSport;2180426]The tube connects to a hose with a 90-degree elbow. The other end of the hose connects to the PCV valve that inserts into the top of the driver side valve cover.
The tube is required inside the manifold but I do not know the purpose or how it works.
Thanks Everyone😊 I figured it out also..just took some digging. What threw me off was that it wasn't hooked up to the elbow. Was just inside the manifold. Probably another reason my truck wasn't running great. It will be put back in correctly though. Thanks again
