Icon8 Ranger window recall

I am really loving my new 2022 Ford Ranger Lariat truck. Well until this happened. I just received a recall letter for my brand new 2022 Ford Ranger. The front window wasn't sealed properly at the factory. So they have to take the front window off and reseal it. First truck I have ever bought. Has anyone had this recall done? I have the Lariat version so it has a camera in the front window. I am worried that they will do a bad job fixing this problem. It is fairly complex to do this I watched a video on you tube (1 hour) detailing the procedure. After the put the front window back on they will have to aim the camera again. It all works well now before the recall. The dealer has a window installer fix the problem. So if it doesn't work then I wonder who I would contact to fix the aiming of the camera. Here is the link to youtube video in case you have to have this done. There are some 63,000 automobiles affected.

Everything is under warranty or or part of the recall. If the camera function is messed up, the dealer is your contact for repair even if it has to go to an outside source.

Icon8 Window Sealant replacement update

Dropped my 2022 Ford Ranger off at the dealer Thursday to have them reseal the front windscreen. This was a Ford recall that said you can get water leaks, wind noise, and injured in an accident. The service writer called me Thursday and told me that the tech cracked the window. They will have to order another window. No idea when it will arrive but he assured me that the truck will be indoors until the new window is installed and
it will look like the factory install. So I guess no Truck this weekend. Good thing I have another auto that I can drive. Although they said Ford would give me a rental car.

Still waiting

Took my 2022 Ranger XL Supercab 100A in for the windshield recall. Left the truck there the entire day only to have them tell me they got the wrong windshield. They had a Bronco part. So going on 6 weeks and no repair. My next move is to file against Ford with the NTSB for “refusal”.

I have seen it on the 2019+ Ford Ranger and Raptor Forum (5th Generation) - Ranger5G.com
As stated here, parts are always 'a few weeks away' due to 'supply chain issues'. Not just windshields, pretty any major 5G part.
Not much you can do but wait.

Why would you need a new windshield or did the installer break the factory windshield during the repair?
My dealer Tech stated that out of 47 Ranger windshield recalls, the installer only cracked 2 windshield's but the installer already had new replacement windshields in stock.
I took my Ranger in August, took 5 hours and my Recall windshield seal was fix and I did have a noisy windshield before the recall fix, now it is super quiet.

They did crack the factory windshield. So I needed a new windshield. Then when I picked up my truck I looked under the hood and there were missing plastic fasteners that hold on the plastic faring that goes around the window. Then I noticed the $100 electric wrench laying on the top of my engine! So I went back to the dealership and gave them back the wrench and got the plastic fasteners. Then I noticed the faring was not laying on the window correctly. The faring has a slot that part of it goes under the window to hold it flush on the windshield. So back to the dealer to fix that and get my oil changed. Now everything was fixed or so I thought. It had been sunny for the whole time I had my new truck. So about two weeks later it finally rained. I used the the windshield washer and the right sprayer was spraying on the hood. So back to the dealer. Turns out that when they replaced the window they cut the hose that sprays the right side of the window. Since it was cut it also didn't have enough pressure to wash the drivers side window. Only went 1/2 of the way up the window. They had to order the plastic hose so another few days until I got notice they had the part and I got it installed. Everything is ok now but I think if I have any more warrantee work I will go to another dealer. Still like the truck. Not to happy with the dealer.

They did crack window. Then they left a $100 electric wrench on the engine. They also didn't install all the plastic fasteners that hold the windshield faring so back to the dealer to fix that. The faring was not installed correctly also. It has a clip that goes under the windshield and mine was on top of the windshield. Then it finally rained and I used the windshield washers and found out that they cut the right hose during windshield removal. The washer was spraying on the hood. So back to the dealer to fix the hose and fairing. They ordered a hose and after 1 week it was replaced. Like the truck the dealer not so much. A total of 3 visits to the dealer to fix the window. I hope I don't have any maintenance issues.
