1996 4.0 p0153

Says bank 2 sensor 1 which one is it? And is it up or down stream?

Sensor 1 is always Upstream, sensor 2 is downstream

Bank 1 is passenger side of a "V" engine, or the only Bank on a 4cyl

Bank 2 is Drivers side of a "V" engine

So B2S1 is drivers side upstream O2 sensor

P0153 usually means sensor is more than 100k miles old and needs to be replaced

Thanks man, I have one of each and I only saw two so I'm guessing it's the one just next to my transmission on the drives side

Yes, sensor 2's are between Cat Converts and Mufflers, they test of Cats are cleaning up the exhaust

Sensors 1's are used for best fuel economy
