Then starter is bad for sure, but doesn't explain the no voltage at NSS, separate issues

This is even after putting the original wiring harness back on it would get any power to the nss

Replaced starter with “new” starter that tested good, Starter is still just spinning. It’s not engaging the flexplate. Just spinning. Battery cables seemed alright. And no power through the nss. Seems like it may have an open circuit?

The two things are unrelated

The starter motor has 2 wires attached, a larger one and a smaller one, the smaller one is the one that activates the starter motor AND SOLENOID, thats the one that needs the 12volt NOT the larger one
If you just give larger wire 12volt starter will just spin and not engage
Just FYI

Run a new wire from the Clutch switch, pink wire, to the starter relay

Thanks for that, and run a new wire through wiring harness from neutral safety switch to the block that leads to the fuse box?

There is no power to nss. I’m just trying to confirm the location of the pink wire.

Replaced wire between the switch under the dash and the trans. Still nothing.

So you have 12volts with key in START at the NSS switch and 12volt OUT to starter relay in engine fuse box and still no "click" of that relay?

I would have run the wire to starter motor, lol, cut out the middle men, the NSS and starter relay

12v at starter relay. Nothing at the nss. So run the pink wire directly to the starter motor? I’m assuming the smaller post on the solenoid?

Sure, if the pink wire is the one with 12v when key is in START

Yes, the smaller "S" post on starter motor's solenoid, when it gets 12v the starter sill activate

But be careful it can be started "in gear" this way, the NSS is there to prevent that

You may need to change fuse 24 to a 10amp instead of a 7.5amp, I doubt it, but just a heads up

there are a few wires at the neutral safety switch, including the pink one that light up red with test light. I wasn't getting anything at the tan/red wire though.

Tan/red wire at NSS would only have 12v in START if transmission was in Park or Neutral

It can, but then fuse 24 and the pink wire wouldn't have 12volts with key in START

(KEY)>>>>Ignition switch-----------fuse 24------(white/pink)--------Clutch by-pass--------(pink)------------NSS/DTR------(Tan/red)------------Starter relay in engine fuse box

The tan/red wire does not have 12v on the neutral safety switch.

To bypass nss, go from pink wire on clutch bypass to the top post on the “s”?

Yes, small "S" post activates starter when it has 12v

"S" post should currently have a Yellow/blue wire attached to it, you can remove it or leave it, doesn't matter

So if that works, That means tan/red wire that goes to nss is bad, correct?

Maybe, could be the DTR(NSS) switch, if pink wire has 12v IN and tan wire doesn't have 12v OUT then switch isn't passing the 12v when its in Park or Neutral position

Tan wire goes to starter relay in engine fuse box and activates it, so tan wire has no voltage on its own, it gets 12v from the pink wire thru the transmission switch

Ok, so If the starter relay in the fuse box is clicking. This means 12v is making it through the nss?
