2007 Ranger 4.0 timing chain tensioner specks

When I took my left side tensioner out it didn't seem to be real tight, I know that some say it should be 49# and I have also seen where they say to tighten to 32#. I just wonder what the recommended torque is as this is a aluminum head and I don't want to over torque if I can help it. Also there was no washer on the tensioner but will it hurt to put one on? Thanks for any help.

49ift/lb is spec for the front left tensioner on the 4.0l SOHC engines
Washer is a judgment call, factory didn't use them but Ford service recommends washer on replacement, but it is a separate part

Aluminum heads are more susceptible to cross threading, so watch out for that, up to 60ft/lb should be OK for front tensioner if it leaks

Well I got the timing chain tensioner's out and replaced with Ford Motorcraft ones, the left front would only compress at the most a 1/3 of the way while the right back one would compress most all the way so I'm glad I decided to replace them. I took the thermostat housing off in order to get a the left tensioner and also the temp sender and when I put it back together I had a leak so just decided if I was going to replace the sender I just as well replace the whole thermostat and sender with a aluminum one and then wouldn't have to worry about it failing in the future. In the process of removing the housing I noticed what looked like some sort of nest between the Plenum and the upper intake manifold so I got the air hose and tried to blow it out of there but finally got the shop vac and started to suck it out. When I was done there was probably a amount of a volley ball that I got out. I have a feeling that after the door was hit it sat in storage for a while and that is when the mice went to work although the isn't any damage to wiring or any other thing. But the good thing is it's all back together and runs like a charm. Altogether I replaced all O2 sensors, plugs, chain tensioners, and new thermostat and housing, hope this all for a while. Thanks to all who offered tips and information I do appreciate it.
