Icon4 93 not starting!

Solenoid does click when i turn the key but the starter doesn't turn. Don't know what to say, i have the worst of luck with vehicles. Sounds like bad starter or bad connections?
Just replaced corroded terminals and got a new battery. would be nice to make this nice and simple. how easy is it to change the starter on the 4.0L from 1993.

The starters are really not that hard to change it a matter of gettin you hands in there really haha..It shoud be 2 bolts ..Now you dont always need a new starter, Starter can be rebuilt. You can do it in you garage on a bench there reall simple to take apat it pretty much self exsplianitory. once you take it apart youll know how to put it together again.get it all opened up get a couple cans of brake cleaner and spay it on the inside of the starter. get all the gunk out of it..Ive found pine needles, ice, water, bunch of crap in them. now the gunk in there could cause it th get a bad connection on the electric motor in them. DO NOT USE A WIRE BRUSH TO CLEAN IT..The brisiles can scratch the copper in it and it will never work right use brake cleaner. Once youve cleaned and rebuilt it bench test it with a battery charger..If all of that does not work check the wires that go to the starter make sure no corrsion is present if so clean them with a wire brush, if none of this works you ethier need a neew starter or solenoid

Did the mechanic mention that any of the cabling was corroded.

As mentioned in another thread, check out all of the cabling, from the alternator to the battery, from the battery to the starter and the ground cables, all need to be checked for corrosion and replaced if necessary.

Corrosion can cause two things poor charging of the battery and early demise of the starter and other electrical components.
