Crank no start. Out of ideas. Need help!!!

Got spark to plugs. Got fuel pressure. Changed crank sensor. Still no start. Have fire to injectors but injectors not working as they should. Also figured out that I have a short somewhere in my wiring. Will that prevent crank sensor from reading and telling the PCM to fire the injectors???

I believe the injectors are "fired by grounding" as they share a common 12v hot source. Perhaps the ECU grounding isn't there?
Try spraying fuel into the intake while cranking. If the engine kicks over, you know you're not getting fuel into the cylinders.

If it fired, it fired.
Try removing a spark plug or two after cranking and inspect for fuel with a match.

Done a test on the injectors. I have a 12v hot to them but they are not pulsing while cranking. I can jump fire from the hot wire and they will spray fuel but won't do it on its own in sequence like they should.

Check for engine grounding? The braided copper grounding straps do corrode away.
Check for corrosion in connectors and in the ECU (rain incursion).
Get an ohm meter and the pin-outs for every multi plug you can and see if the ones said to be 'grounds' are connected to the battery's negative cable.

What engine, year, mileage, general condition and pertinent history has your truck?

It's a 2002 4.0L. Has close to 300,000 miles on engine but has never had any major problems like this. Other than not too long ago it got to where I couldn't start it unless it was in neutral. If it was in park it acted like my starter wouldn't work. Shift it to neutral and it would fire right up no problem. Then it got to where I would sometimes have to pop hood and pull relay to apply a jump wire to make it start.

Neutral safety switch was loose. Tightened up the bolts.

So the neutral safety switch was loose, but tightened it up and is fine now. But still have same problem. Still crank but no start. Got fuel, got spark, but no injector pulse. If anyone can help or point me in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.
