Right now i have one cat on my truck punched out and i want to punch out my other one but im afraid that if i punch it i will get an engine light if i do what can i do to make it go away? i have a 4.0 or i will it even make the light come on

 

Make sure there is no O2 sensor after the other one

 

they are both b4 one for each bank of the motor

 

anyone know?

 

if the o2 sensors are before the cats it won't turn it on.

 

everyone positive it wont come on because i need me tone out of my truck

what was said before was right. if the 02 sensor(s) are pre-cat then the engine light shouldn't come on. if the O2s are post-cat then you're SOL.

otherwise .... why? I mean, our trucks are slow. A little less restriction in the exhaust isn't going to help much in that department. And wont you have to pass an emissions/smog test one of these days? To me this just seems pointless. *shrugs*
