How many miles on your 4.0's?
Running strong
73,000 on 2006 level ii
I've seen rangers go and go and go, it all depends on how hard you run them to maintenance ratio. It's like owning a quad you run to the ground AND neglect, it's not gonna last very long

66k on my 2011. Changed out a cracked t-stat housing, and a deteriorated vacuum line for the blower selector. I got a feeling the vacuum line rubbing up against the cold accumulator is causing it to become brittle. Anyone else experienced these on their late model trucks?
On my 2003, the cluster reads 202,000, but was replaced, so my guess is that there is roughly 240,000 on the truck. At 170,000(as advertised), a 90,000 engine was put in, so the engine in total has about 122,000 miles on it, and it is not doing well. So not well, I just bought another truck.
My 1999 Mazda 4.0L has 118,000 miles, I just got all of the spark plugs replaced, and it is running strong!

I know it's an old thread.
Had a 1994 4.0 up until 1 1/2 years ago, almost 380,000 miles on it...still original engine and tranny. Was always plagued with the squeal when accelerating hard.Only reason I sold it was didn't need 2 trucks.Liked it better than the 2000 model I've got now with 3.0
