Need help with component location
I have a 2001 4.0 SOHC. A rat got into my engine compartment and wreaked havoc. I believe I have repaired all of the damage EXCEPT: I cannot locate where a set of wires go (they are black and yellow). Here is a picture of the un-chewed portion. Please let me know if you know what this go to. Thank you so much!

I'm afraid you may need to remove your intake manifold. I believe that connector goes down and under the manifold to the knock sensor. I can't remember and don't have my truck with me right now to confirm which side of that mounted connector goes to the knock sensor and which side goes to the rest of the harness and eventually into the PCM.
According to my 2001 Ford Ranger Wiring Manual: YE/RED (yellow w/ red stripe) and DG/VT (dark green? w/ violet stripe) for the knock sensor.

Sensor 2 would be the O2 sensor behind the catalytic converter, so rat may have gone toward the back of the truck, lol, but more likely it got chewed near the front where power to heat it comes from.
O2 sensors are heated so they can be used sooner, 12volt wire from the O2 heater fuse in the power box.
