my truck has just over 120,000 miles on it with stock spark plugs and wires. here recently its had trouble starting sometimes and misses till i give it some gas then its fine and i have not really noticed any performance loss. so my question is will changing my spark plugs and wires fix this ?

 

If it stops missing when it shifts down and quits pulling hard, Yes wires and plugs will probably fix it. Put Motorcraft stuff on it unless you want to do it twice.

Plugs, wires and upstream o2's need to be done at 100k.

 

What's upstream the o2's mean

 

There are oxygen sensors before and after the cats. The one before monitor air fuel AKA upstream. These oxygen sensors are made from the same metals as spark plugs. They need to be changed to keep their sensitivity.
