I just stick with Canola. Why you may ask? Because I figure it makes a good french fry, so it should be great on my car! j/k

Next time I change the oil, I will be switching to Mobil 1.

I use Amsoil in my truck. Never had a problem. Love the stuff. I used to use Mobil-1. That oil was good too. I really want to try royal purple. Don't exactly know where to find the stuff. Amsoil keeps going up in price so I don't think I'll be sticking with them if these trends continue.

you guys really feel that any one synthetic oil is going to make a noticeable difference than the next in our engines? these arnt exactley high performance motors or such as a street bike, using the oil for both engine and tranny. sure synthetics are better for your motor than conventional (its been proven) but, one "better" than the next?

anyone have any links to any privet party research done to show what is actually a better oil for detergents, for lubrication, for temps?

"well my truck is still running" is kind of a thick statement ya?

isn't that kind of a thick statement?

Sometimes, people use synthetic because you don't have to change it every 3month/3000miles, amongst other benefits.

Did anybody here claim that their synthetic oil is better than all the competition?
People are simply stating what they use. I use amsoil because I've heard good things about it, I get it cheaper than any synthetics at wal-mart, and it's delivered to my door. Is that a good enough reason?

I use Motorcraft 5w-20 Synthetic Blend at every oil change. I have tried Pennzoil and Mobil-1 as well as Castrol. I'll stick to what the factory uses for longevity.
