1990 f150 v8 swap questions

Well my dad has a 90 150 that he gave me and I don't really feel like investing the money into it to fix it so thinking of pulling motor, auto tranny, a tcase and swapping into my 94.

1. How can I still use mass air?

The 150 doesn't have mass air can I use a fox body mustang engine harness and mass air sensor?

2 I think the tranny is a aod. If I used a mustang harness would I be able to use a mustang computer? I would like keep it 5 speed but I can't seem to find a tranny out of a v6 f-150 to swap into place so I don't have the whole hole in the floor problem.

3. The tcase is a bw1356m will the shifter for it work or will have to shorten it?

You need to find a 95 F150 that has mass air. It would be a direct plug and play swap with factory parts. Use their intake tube, MAF, air box, wiring harness, computer.

Same answer as before, but get the right computer for that. 5 speeds are everywhere near me for 150 a pop in the junk yard.

you will be into a custom shifter, that shifter will come up on the side of your trans hump VS where it is now

Will a 95 computer control a 90 transmission?

Does anyone know if the plug from the cab to the engine harness will be the same?

Either way a 5 speed swap would be simple. Use an m5od out of a 97ish 150 with a 4.2 v6. Same as the 5.0 bellhousing and fits the ranger pretty well
