2010 2.3 swap to 1999 explorer
Need Help Please
New to the forum. My son and I have a 2010 extended cab 2.3 plain Jane with rollup windows. We bought a 1999 ford explorer AWD as a donor truck for a swap. I can find lots of threads that have done this but with earlier model ranger. We cant make the motor mounts work. Bought new explorer mounts that fit perfect into ranger frame but it just wont lineup. Has anyone got any suggestion.

You can buy motor mount swap kits for Rangers, like these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/98-11-Ford-...-/152046882412
Never tried a later model one but you should be able to eyeball if these would work
With 2004-2011 Ranger you will have to swap out the instrument cluster and do some cab rewiring to make it work, the 2004 and up used a Digital cluster, an HEC, and they don't work unless Paired with Ranger engine computer
