6.0 Powerstroke in a ranger
Yeah it kind of does. Its a sterling 10.5 out of an excursion, narrowed. Its gonna have a bunch of Torque, so it needs to be damned strong.
It will handle the weight just fine. The Hypermax Spal ranger had the same motor in it and did 223 MPH at Bonneville.

do you think it'll be done by the middle-end of september by any chance?
i need to come see this thing in person.

Maybe. ATS is a descent manufacturer. They make good stuff and a re fairly reasonable. Banks makes average stuff, and gouges the crap out of you for it all the while advertising it is the best. Go to a race and let me know how many banks powered trucks are there. Answer, not many and none of them are winning. I am not talking about the banks truck itself, that thing is wicked, but you cannot buy that stuff.
oh i know, i'm in no way defending Banks, hell at school up here i see very few "banks" stickers or emblems.. probably because they know a thing or two.. i have seen a few ATS stickers though
I started a website to follow the build up.
Its still in the works, but I will get some pics up soon.

I saw a black Ranger on Sat night at a car show, it was tubbed in the back with big street legal cut slicks on it and I'm pretty sure it had a diesel in it but I couldn't see under the hood because it was too dark. If it's there next time I'll take pictures for you.

Thanks for the compliments, but I just have ideas. 90% of the work that has been done thus far has been done by my good friend Gene Feldhan's out in California. I have simply had the plan, funding, and ordering parts. He is very very good at what he does.
I know its been a while, I am off to get the cage in it this weekend, and will hopefully get a bunch of good pics, Side views, outside this time I hope.
Here is the latest:
ARP's make a big bang when they break.
Already spoke with ARP and they are taking care of me on this. We were about to torque plate hone the Rangers block. Had them all in and torqued to 245 pounds, except for this one. It was at about 244 pounds, LOL and BOOM. Damn near killed the poor guy on the end of the Torque wrench. Very strange indeed.

Beds covered in surface rust everything thats rusty, or bare metal gets covered in plack paint. Billet bottle brackets, Billet Optima hold downs, and the stacks are all but done.
More tomorrow! Motor mounts go in.
