Yeah it kind of does. Its a sterling 10.5 out of an excursion, narrowed. Its gonna have a bunch of Torque, so it needs to be damned strong.

It will handle the weight just fine. The Hypermax Spal ranger had the same motor in it and did 223 MPH at Bonneville.

Maybe. ATS is a descent manufacturer. They make good stuff and a re fairly reasonable. Banks makes average stuff, and gouges the crap out of you for it all the while advertising it is the best. Go to a race and let me know how many banks powered trucks are there. Answer, not many and none of them are winning. I am not talking about the banks truck itself, that thing is wicked, but you cannot buy that stuff.

TCI shifter came today, and I am more than pleased. Bought this from TCI, and WOW, its a quality piece. Reverse lockout and all. Even has the "Hey ya'll watch this" button. LOL

Whatever you want it to be. I am probably going to make it a nitrous line to help spool the turbos. Or maybe the purge.

I saw a black Ranger on Sat night at a car show, it was tubbed in the back with big street legal cut slicks on it and I'm pretty sure it had a diesel in it but I couldn't see under the hood because it was too dark. If it's there next time I'll take pictures for you.

You're right about that. A friend of mine is really high on banks and when he got wind of me doing a V8 swap he bought 2 of their "so called" top notch turbo kits and brought one to show me. I handed it back to him and said he got ripped off bad. That stuff is crap. The turbine housing was really weak looking and the turbine itself looked like a cheap hairdryer mechanism. I showed him the flowrate chart off his that came in the kit and showed him the one that I had from Turbonetics which was smaller than what he had and the flowrate and quality alone made his turbo look really retarded to say the least. The turbine housing on his turbocharger looked like it would melt at the first sign of heat. I should have kept those turbos instead of sending them back and getting my money back. They were the mid frame super thumper T106 mm with the chrome housing if you were wondering. I cancelled my twin turbo small block idea but not the V8 swap. here's a link for you diesel ranger you might find it interesting later on. www.usbody.com . They have alot tilt front ends, beds and other things you'd might want later on. That was a killer, sick shifter you got my friend. That's going to be a kiiler truck when you're done with it. You ever thought about doing swaps for a living? people pay alot of dough for this type of swap. You have got alot of Talent my friend. best wishes.

Thanks for the compliments, but I just have ideas. 90% of the work that has been done thus far has been done by my good friend Gene Feldhan's out in California. I have simply had the plan, funding, and ordering parts. He is very very good at what he does.

I know its been a while, I am off to get the cage in it this weekend, and will hopefully get a bunch of good pics, Side views, outside this time I hope.

Here is the latest:

ARP's make a big bang when they break.
Already spoke with ARP and they are taking care of me on this. We were about to torque plate hone the Rangers block. Had them all in and torqued to 245 pounds, except for this one. It was at about 244 pounds, LOL and BOOM. Damn near killed the poor guy on the end of the Torque wrench. Very strange indeed.

Beds covered in surface rust everything thats rusty, or bare metal gets covered in plack paint. Billet bottle brackets, Billet Optima hold downs, and the stacks are all but done.

More tomorrow! Motor mounts go in.
