I am planning to leave my ***** in a safe place for the first pass. The first day to the track will likely not be for anything but tuning the suspension. Once it goes straight, and hooks up, then some 60' times, then some 330, 1/8th, and that stuff, but yeah its gonna take a bit of playing around. I'll give ya a crack at it Matt.

Get the license plate "Stock" or "OEM" . . .

I've been following this build quite closely since the beginning on RPS, going to be a landmark for sure. Looks great, I admire your skill and financial income.

something of this magnitude take tuning and getting used to. I'm not saying you wont, Tim, but i doubt he's just gonna hop in and run ***** to the wall on his first pass..
That makes more sense!

Question for you though, Tim. What size tubing are you suspension links?

Thanks, but so far most of the Credit belongs to Gene Feldhans, he has done most of the hard work, and made it what it is. I just have to continue his work.

Had some time today, so I sanded, primed and painted the roll cage. Didn't paint the ends to be welded, but figured its a hell of a lot easier to paint outside the truck then inside, then touch up the welds.

Pretty good for a rattle can finish.

I really don't, its a huge undertaking. I would guess around Febish, if parts come together, and it quits fighting me.

****t, we've been over this i'll be in the lane next to him on his first 'pass'

I'll be there, with or without my truck, and i'll hopefully be around once he gets his motor back and starts piecing it together.

Went to the shop day before yesterday and they were spinning the crank to balance it. Turns out its so heavy they had to borrow some weights because the rotating mass is more than they had. LOL This is a shop that does 2000+ hp big blocks. Man I love diesels.

Matt, you better get that front end thing figured out before you hit the track, you'll look like a snake weaving down the track. I figure I'll let you get a few seconds ahead and straight before I launch it, to make sure you don't run me over. LOL I am hoping to have a few seconds covered.

Cage goes in tomorrow. Today I made the outriggers/frame extenders to mount the cage directly to the frame:

I am happy to report my welding is getting better, (Yes these are my better welds LOL):
