Which 10" sub to get?
Which 10" sub to get?
I have had 12s in the truck since i bought it. First I had two 12s, but it took up the whole portion of the extended cab. So i cut the box in half and used one 12. My system bumps. But, it takes up too much room, and i need to be able to fit one person in the back. So, i want to switch to a 10 that will take up only 1/4 of the floor space so a person can sit on one side in the little seat and be able to have leg room.
What sub can I get that will give me the power and deep base that I had with my 12? And will it even be comparable with one of those tiny boxes?

ok, someone told me to get type Rs, so I found a couple on ebay for a little over $100 for a 10" SWR. It says they only need .8 cu ft of air space, which should be a lot smaller than the box I have. Are these good subs?
What do I need for an amp as far as RMS and should I get the 2ohm subs or 4 ohm. And since their dual voice coil do I need a 2 channel amp or can I use a mono amp?

you should be able to run 1 12" back there with someone being able to still have leg room. thats what im running now. and i have a kicker comp sub. its awesome i love it. if youd like i can go snap a quick pic of how much room is back there with the box
I have a Infinity Kappa perfect 12" which they don't carry anymore but with a Rockford Fosgate 550.2 amp and is much louder than my old set up of two Kicker CVR12s.
if u get a 12 there will be space for someone in the back.

let me go get measurements lol and my amp is under my seat. ive bee running this set up since february and no problems whatsoever with over heating. and thats even during the summer when it gets close to 110 degrees here.
I have an exile audio 10 right now and love it. I just put a image dynamics in my sisters car and that decent also. I won't put low end audio stuff in a vehicle, Im not about earth shattering bass, just a good clean filler to say...
I ordered my new setup.
