2010 Reg Cab Rear Speakers???

Hey there guys. I just got a 2010 Ranger base. I installed a Kenwood Deck a little while ago, and noticed that the truck is wired (at the dash) for four speakers. However, the truck only has two door speakers. There are grilles in the back for speakers, but no wiring behind the grilles. Any ideas on where the wires that are connected to the head unit go?

Thanks in advance

Is it a base model truck? Alot of times Ford installs thinks that arent crucial to your truck because of the way the assmebly line is set up. So in saying that, there could be wires that run for rear speakers, but no rear speakers

Some got the wires back there.....some didn't. But they have the buckets and all that for the speakers. My brother's 01 XL regcab wasn't pre-wired for speakers back there, but we wired it up and tossed in some 6x8's.

i just ran my own wires, worked for the time being. now that im redoing my subs, i will be running a good set of components and will be powering the doors and rears off of an amp rather then the head unit.

Thanks guys. I will have to dig a little further back there. The wires are there at the HU, but I don't see anything in the back. Thanks again.

If there are no wires to the back it is so easy to run wires. It will take you all of fifteen minutes. It only took me a couple to run wires for my extended cab for my subs from the battery through the firewall and from the deck

It's super easy. The wires are there behind the headunit. Just find the wires, cut, solder or crimp on the 20ga or whatever speaker wire, route it to the back under the carpet/vinyl, snake it up the speaker grille, install on speakers. Congrats...you've got rear speakers. lol.

Ford Ranger Rear Speakers

Afternoon,

Just a few years late to this.
Could you tell me how you hooked up the wires to that harness or did you bypass it and solder them?
I got an 08 with the same config. but I seem to have 13 goin in and 6 coming out
