They have something to hack the wiring and make the preouts for amp hook up. My girl has them on her 08 escape because they have the worst dash design ever and the radio is spread all over the center stack.

Why dont you get a different head unit sound quality is improved so much. even with stock speakers. plus it would be easier than figuring the whole wiring tap thing out

its adding bigger wires 0ga or 4ga to your charging systems wires, the lower resistance of the bigger wires will allow you to get the most power from your charging system.
Alt + to Battery +
Alt case or engine block to Chassis ground
Chassis Ground to Battery -

do they make a kit for it, or do i have to grab the wires and terminals and make it work?

what size is stock? the ones that are on my truck look like they might have been modified, but i'm not 100% sure, didn't take that good of a look at it

not sure if they make a kit for it, but eyeball up what you need, buy a few feet of wire, and the terminals, it's probably easiest just to make them that way. Also not sure what size the stock wires are, I haven't done the big 3 as my system is pretty small.

the center console, or the shifter trim? they are 2 seperate pieces.

this is STOCK in an 07 ranger fx4 level II (i was looking at an identical truck, but just fx4 offroad, and it had the ugly xl model rubber shift boot and such... so if your looking in a JY, look for the level II's. I'm 99% sure this will answer your question

man, i just flipped through, those are some big enclosures. i'd like to put a sub in but i know that i'd loose the cargo room and i like to have the extra space. i've got a pic that i found online. it's a cardboard box and the sub sticks out the side. looks awsome.

Here's mine nothing terribly fancy just a 300W 8" kicker sub. I did incorporate a bit of a storage cubby into the top of the enclosure though.

even though this is nothing like you are suggesting, heres mine.
eclipse 15" home made enclosure - sealed box, 1.66 cu. ft. - - my design, allows both seats to fully recline, all of the way back.
also fit two amps back there, no seats though, and mine is a two door.

Please ignore my crappy wrap job on the sub box, I haven't had time to re-do it yet.

Rockford Fosgate P3001 sub amp, 12" Alpine type R, P.O.S door amp (I already have a replacement), 5x7 Rockford Fosgate powers in the doors, and a sony deck.
