unless your deadset on running JL audio you can get much better for the same amount of cash if not less. But if thats what you want go for it, i just dont care much for JL because its so expensive considering what you get for your money.

Wrong JL is good thats why it costs a bit more and its not really considered high end either. Its the best bang for your buck IMO. I went with Exile XT10 sub and Sundown Amp in my new setup in the F150. Ive also heard good stuff about the Image Dynamics subs. You get what you pay for....

Exile Car Audio is located in Portland OR they are guys that left Pheonix Gold car audio and created there own equipment there stuff is some of the best.

lol at jl being best bang for the buck, its just slightly better than the other retail brands but cant hold a candle to the high end audio companies. i have an adire audio brahma in a t-line that will put a w7 to shame in both sq and spl for a fraction of the price. sundown is great, a friend of mine has a cascade omega powered by a sundown saz3000 and its insanely loud. Jl is okay but its very ovepriced, their amps are very ineffiecient since they use a regulated power supply to provide the same power at 1-4 ohms since most jl users dont get the concept of ohm loads. they just buy jl to impress people who dont know that much about car audio. i admit the tw5's are some of the best shallow mounts on the market but i would never pay what they cost. just my 2c.

check out the db drag leaderboards and notice nobody runs jl audio on a competition level.
i see Cactus, Stetsom, Digital designs etc.. but no jl audio. hmmm. people who know better dont buy into the jl audio hype.

i am dead set on running JL
you get what you pay for
If JL was lower end you could buy it at walmart...
my boss is a JL dealer and if it wasnt quality and wasnt what people were looking for then people wouldnt drive 3 hours to come to our shop in some dinky town
and people wouldnt continue to come back with their other rigs and boats.
im not saying its the top dog but its pretty dang good
