A new but slow stereo build up (suggestions?)

I want to upgrade the HU in my ride first, probably an HD unit then get the speakers. After that, I would like to get an amp to better power the speakers which will also bring out the music clarity. My question is, if I get an amp to power the speakers and then add a subwoofer, do I need to have one amp powering the speakers and one for the sub or could I do it all with just one amp? I would prefer to do it all with one amp if I could. Any suggestions are appreciated. I will not go wild with the sub, probably one 10" would do it for me and if I have to run a separate amp for the sub, I will probably buy a sub that comes with the sub to simplify the installation for me. I don't plan to win any shows but I would just like my music to be a little clearer and louder. I mostly listen to rock, a little country and some mix but no rap. Thanks

You can do it with one amp, just look for a amp that has an extra channel for a sub, for example a five channel amp to to run four speakers plus a sub, personally what I would do is find a three channel amp and run the front speakers and a sub off that amp and leave the rear speakers powered by the deck, because the rear speaks are just for fill anyways. I run a two channel amp for my fronts, a mono amp for the sub, rears are powered off deck.

You can do that with a 4 channel bridgeable amp. Bridge the rear channel for the sub, and then the front channels runs stereo.
