If you can't be polite, refrain from replying. You don't have to lie to people and tell them nice things to feel better. You can tell the truth. You don't have to like everything and you can tell people when you don't like something, but do it politely. This just comes down to manners and reflects on your character.

eBay is your friend man. Back in the day of my late Dodge Shadow, I bought 6" round 2-ways, 6x9" 2-ways, a Clarion HU, a Clarion amp, and 2 12" 400w subs (which I still use and are in the Ranger now) all individually and all for a fraction of the retail cost.
I strongly recommend taking your time, keeping that $500 in your pocket, and going with what YOU want. As contrary to popular belief, you don't always need to have the top of the line audio equipment to achieve high quality sound. It's very easy for people to rhyme off high priced merch that they wish they had and try to get you to buy it, but from the responses, we know who has what and what they know.
Best advice I can give is do your homework on the matter, and don't always believe the guy with the largest/loudest system.......it's probably stolen anyway.

Alpine HeadUnit $199.99
Sony Door Speakers - $59.99
Pioneer 10's times 2 - $69.99 each
Sony Amp - $179.99
Total $579.95
I installed it myself and had an old pro-box laying here. It isn't going to win any competitions but it hards pretty darn hard and alot of people can't believe they are just 10's.
