Problem with stock head unit after new speakers!

I posted this in the Electrical section as well...

I just ran wires and installed rear speakers in my 2004 4x4 Ranger. I have Kickers in the front and Pioneer in the back. Everything is running off of a OEM cd player. Everything worked great for a minute, sounded perfect. And then I started messing with the fader. Sound faded back and to the front perfectly.
Then after I was screwing with the bass settings the sound cut off completely! Cd player still showed everything was playing, Light was on, Time was displayed, the track timer was still clicking away as if it was working. So I plugged in the Oem radio (no CD)I had lying around. The old radio worked just fine, but only the front speakers. Though I think just the radio w/out the cdplayer is only wired for the front.(?)

I appreciate any help/advice ya'll can give me on this.

-Thanks-

Figured it out...Rear speaker was grounding out on the "tear shaped" opening in the sheet metal. Flipped speaker around to solve problem. Hopefully this will help someone out in the future
