Well the PA is $100 so Im looking less than $200 cheaper the better...Im only gonna use it for 9 months...Then going to 4 15s.

 

I sold em They are now in a 76 ford. and the cap is not a waste of money my headlights and dash lights would dim really bad before the cap.

 

then do a big 3, then upgrade ur batt and or add a second batt. caps only hurt ur alt.

 

my cap works great. im gonna call BS on 5500 watts for 100 bucks.

 

well that's because you weren paying very close attention...i mentioned my buddy's 5500w....then said imma get a new 1250w or 1500w when I can afford it...then someone said PA was trash, and I asked what he recommended for between $100-$200 because the 1500w is about $100....

I said nothing about the 5500w other than what it was pushing and how old it was.

 

Yea caps are a waste of time and money.

 

I got this old ZR amp that Ive been using until I can afford a new system. Well its been acting up. The SWX seems loose and it keeps cutting out on one side or the other unless I push it in. So I took it apart and tightened the thing it plugs into and it worked great...For about 5 minutes, before it quit all together. So I called my buddy to see if he had a cheap amp I could get off him and pay him when I get paid. He said he had an amp I could have...Just gotta get it fixed, which shouldnt be more than $50.

 

Mine..... its a JL Audio 10" with a Lightining Audio amp..... 350w.

 

Ay dannyo how does that single jl 10 hit

 

i have 2 kicker 10s with a 1600w kenwood amp! it hits hard then most of my friends 15s in there little suvs! i also have my amp turned all the way down so it doesnt blow my speakers. and i can still understand my music so kicker is very good quality id go with a shallow mount though for a reg cab!

 

Ive always liked kicker...Wouldnt mind having 4 CVX 15s...But cant justify spending that much cash right now.

 

dont know why people pay for name not product, kicker, jl, mtx...they are all about the name.

 

Nah, my buddy has 2 CVX's in his honda and 2 CVRs in his mustang...Both powered by power acoustik BAMF series amps...I really like how his CVX's sound...Right now I have DEI comps (which they dont make anymore, and might not have made for 10yrs, IDK the exact date) So not everyone that likes kicker, jl, etc are not just paying for the brand.

 

yeah they are, u can get better quality for so much less than the "mainstream" brands

 

There is also a lot of bull**** out there that sounds like crap. Cant weed through it till you find a good one. So people go for the guaranteed quality. Its cheaper for me to pay $200 for a speaker that I know is going to sound good and if it blows, has a warranty...than to spend $120 on a speaker that sucks, then another $120 on another speaker that blows, then another $120 on a good speaker.

im sure some of the lesser brands are great but some of us like going for the name brands that are proven to last and sound awesome

so josh might hate us but to each their own!

until these off brands are actually time tested i will stick with my focals and JL!!!!

what jl sub is it

 

it looks to be a W3v3 not sure if its 2ohms or 4/ and thats a guess based on his amp. same one i have but im running a smaller amp

 

yaah thats what the shop wants to do in mine but it will be exactly 30 days b4 i can get it

 

its an awesome sub even in my extended cap. thing would be sick in a reg cab!
