radio compatibility

If a OEM radio of the double din persuasion has the two holes on either side of the face, needs the tools to pull.........fit back into a double din hole that required the tools in the holes to pull the radio that was in there?!?!?!?!? Crazy question I know. Trying to find an OEM unit that will play mp3. Don't like the looks of the after market in any brand. I have been searching the web for info and found a lot. Went to looking with the acquired knowledge with mixed luck. Now I have run across a unit that says it was pulled from a vehicle that was NOT in the year models I believed would work, but it gets in and out of the slot with the tools on the clips and appears to have the "world" plug.

Ooooooorrrrr, will a 7L5T-18C869-AC go in the hole a 4L5T-18C815-BH came out of??? Not to worried about overcoming a plug difference, I just want factory looks and to play mp3s.

Thanks in advance for any help. Jim.
