Transmission Compatibility

Just wondering what my manual options are for my ranger. 02 3.0 2wd.

I was looking just the plain old M5R1 out of a 3.0. What years can I take from? I see a bunch on ebay like 88-98 or 90-94. Are they all the same? I'm assuming nothing has changed.

What about clutch options? I tow quite often, so I dont' want the clutch to be the weak point.

he 3.0 has a bell housing all its own.....the m50d-r1 is the best stock transmission that what offered in the rangers.....

As for a clutch, I would get a SPEC clutch....

Thanks. What years can I use? They all seem to be the same (meaning about 98 and up) but when I go to search for a flywheel or other parts it's coming up as a different section for 01-08 for the 3.0 manual
