So if I get that CB you guys have, and pick up one of those speakers from radioshack, I can have a PA? does the speaker run straight to the CB and works off that? Or does it require its own power source?

it runs straight to the CB. it required some soldering in a headphone plug so it could plug into the back of the CB

so the CB has an input for a headphone type connector, I can solder the wires from the speaker to that type connector, plug it into the back of that CB, and I will be good? Is there a switch on the CB to activate the PA?

For my PA, I went to radioshack and baught some speaker wire with a RCA plug, and purchased a 3.5mm adapter, worked perfectly, no soldering needed, and only costed about 7 bucks....

12-Ft. RCA-Plug-to-Lugs Speaker Cable - RadioShack.com

Couldnt find link for adapter, but it should be on the same shelf in the immediate area....
