I just got my ultra gauge in the mail today.

When I plug it in, with the key in the run position, it says scanning, but then shuts off after a few seconds.

I have a 2010 4.0L V6 SOHC.

Any tips?

First things first -- I'd try it in another OBDII-Complaint car.

Are you right- handed ?



















































There's a light sensor in th bottom right corner of the display - if you're holding the gauge by the bottom right corner -- it'll dim waay down...

I am right handed, but Its clipped into its mount and I'm not holding it.

It will get to 2 asterisks (*) On either side of "scanning" and then will stop.

 

see page 35 of the manual ... set mode 2 .

if not that -- it may be time to contact your vendor for support
