I'm not Joe mechanic but I've changed 3 clutchs and had no problems but this used tyranny I bought just will not slide into place, I'm limited with time and rented a tyranny jack for a day put the crossmenber on and a couple bolts on the bottom of the tyranny to hold it in place till I got back ( I drive over the road) seems the tyranny is at an angle and the top is about 2 inches away from the housing? What am I doing wrong? This ranger has 263000 on it

 

Check for wires/connectors between bell and block
Remove the 2 lower bolts, and wiggle trans to try and get the 2 alignment dowels/sleeves in the correct place
Open bleeder if slave has already been plugged into Master

 

If it is 2" away, it could be you don't have the splines lined up. If the transmission is in gear, try rotating the transmission output shaft.
