2003 4.0 no power
2003 4.0 no power
2003 4.0 coughing out of throttle body once when shut off and then again when key is turned back on.
it has no power like it has a vacuum leak..
New fuel pump and filter due to old assembly would not hold pressure. Starts great now and idles fine but no power won't hold speed on a hill. Any ideas?? Thx

Welcome to the forum
Exhaust restriction can cause loss of power without effecting lower RPMs, i.e. idle
Can be tested for with Vacuum gauge($20), and good tool to have for ANY engine testing, including vacuum leaks
Read here: https://www.gregsengine.com/using-a-vacuum-gauge.html
A Gasoline engine is a self powered AIR PUMP, and you test pumps by reading their PRESSURE, in this case negative pressure
Air is pulled in, fuel is added, ignited, and then Air goes out
If ALL the "used" air can't get out, then ALL the new air can't come in, so power loss
Same as if you blocked the air filter, less air = less power
