2021 Ranger misses 2nd gear
My Ranger has a 10 speed tranny. If you hit the select shift button when it's in Drive, the instrument console will display which gear the tranny is in. I've noticed that no matter how I drive (slow or aggressive) the lights always jump from 1st to 3rd. NEVER indicates that it is 2nd. Anybody else seen this issue?

You can see the ratios here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford-G...c_transmission
I doubt 1st gear is ever used unless there is a trailer attached, 4.6 ratio, "granny gear" is 6.0 and up
2nd gear ratio is 2.9 which was kind of a normal ratio for 1st gear on previous automatics(or manuals), but a little high, 2.5 was average
But with the 4cyl engine at idle the 4.6 ratio might make sense because engine torque is low until RPMs get higher almost into turbo range
And once RPMs get high enough it can skip the 2.9 ratio and go right to the 2.1 ratio
But it is odd it shows 1st to 3rd, I would expect starting in 2nd and missing 1st
