4.56 Gears

Hey y'all, I have a new set of Motive Gear 4.56s in the mail right now and thought I'd ask, a stock 7.5" trac lok carrier will fit 4.56 gears right? Right now I have 3.73 open, but I plan on buying a rebuilt/new track lok to go along with the new gears and wanted to make sure that you don't have to use a different carrier once you reach a certain gear range?(Odd question, but there are a couple rear ends that are like that) Any input would be helpful, thanks.

They are for a 7.5 rear end, I just wasn't sure if you needed a different carrier but after checking out one of my buddys olod trucks(a 95 3.0 4x4 ext cab auto) it came with 4.56 from the factory, so now I'm pretty sure there is only one size carrier for the 7.5. My truck is 2wd, I am just piling up parts right now(I'm deployed in Iraq), but the next two purchases(after an lsd) are a Fabtech 5.5 lift kit and some 31 or 32 inch tires, and I am only sorta satisfied with the way the truck accelerates right now with 3.73s and the stock tires.

x2, I've never heard of that!

3.55 and 3.73 are very common, esp for those years

yes there are some who have 4.56's in the axle from the factory. It is rare and definetly possible.
