4x4 not engaging

hey everyone, I have a quick question about my 4wd. It is not engaging when i turn the **** in side well actualy it is enguaging but on one side only. I was told that i might have a leake in my air hose does this sound right? To get it in 4wd i have to get out and remove the hubs, manualy turn the splines untill they lock, than slip them back into position. anyone have some helpfull advice other than search the arcives of old posts and see if i can find something that might relate?
thanks in advance,
Steve

IIRC you have vacume hubs there a pain in the ***. it might be just the air line to them or you could go and buy some avm hubs that are manual and know when they are engaged and when they are out.

You'll never regret this upgrade.. getting out of the truck to engage, is a way better deal than having it not work at all
