I have installed a new switching motor and it has worked for weeks, one day I needed it and the 4x4 hi and lo lights just flashed 6 times. It did this for several days then one day it just started working again. Does anyone know what it means when the 4x4 lights flash 6 times. I need this to work when I need it, not when it feels like working.

4x4 lights flashing usually mean bad shift motor.. prob defective..

 

hey I no someone that had this problem and that means bad ground to the shift motor.
