5r55 issues bang bang

ok so here we go , i have had off and on issues with my 2.3 ranger tranny , and of course when i take it to the shop it doesn't act up so here goes
run around town it runs and shifts fine ( oh and it has 122k on it) but when i run it on the highway for an hour or more @ speeds over 70 it starts with it shifting , more like the tac is jumping from 3000 to 3500 back and forth , when i get off the highway it runs like crap , boggs out when trying to accelerate and hammers hard on all the shift points no matter hard or light acceleration it has only flashed the o/d light 2x in 3 months and that was on the highway , both transmission shops have found no codes and tell me unless its doing it they can not find a problem and just like my knee it never happens when i am around one , has anyone had this issue ? i have read through a lot of threads but cant find one close to my issue , OH and the first tranny shop changed the filter and fluid and told me there was no crap in the pan , i realize this could be many problems and will not be easy to diagnose but if anyone has had this problem pleeeease enlighten me ,, thanks

Jumping tach (3,000 to 3,500)...is there an rpm sensor which has gone bad?
You mentioned TPS. Those can be tested with a meter.
Changing your fuel filter at 122K isn't wasteful.
