Icon4 7.5 axle swap to 8.8 axle Possible?

So what I really wanna know is I have a 97 ranger with a 7.5 ring gear and 9inch brakes and 3.73 ratio.... Can I swap to a 94 ranger with 8.8 ring gear and 10 inch brakes and 3.73 ratio..... WITHOUT swaping anything but the full axels? Please help if anyone knows!!! Cause my axle is going out.

Yep. I have a 2000 that had a 7.5, 3.73, w/ 9 inch drums and I swapped in a 31 spline 8.8.

Direct swap.

Oh and by the way. If your Ranger came with a 4.0 from the factory you already have an 8.8.

Confirm it here:

If not just find an 8.8 out of Junk yard, save yourself the hassle
