i bought a 93 ranger with a push button 4x4 and the motor will not go into 4wd. the lights on the switch will not light up, and i have pulled the motor off the t cause and it will not move when you put in 4 hi or low. all fuse's are good. the only one thing i can think of is the module is bad. any other suggestions? also, is the module located in the pass kick panel, and what does it look like?

 

mines got the **** but ive heard the older models with the push button would have problems with the contacts on the actual button itself check that out

 

i had some time today to tinker with it. when you do a self test, the led on the module wont even light. the module must be completely fried.
