98-00 front diff question

98-00 front diff question

isnt the front diff on 98-00 a 35 chunk ?

Not sure what your asking, but from 98-05 the front diff is a Dana 35 Hybrid IFS, differant than the standard D35 in the carier department, but the same R&P.

I dont know, but If I had to venture a guess I would say no since they are two differant systems.

The newer Rangers do have a D35 center however I believe that the cross pin is different than the standard D35.

Yes 93-97 are identicle, he was asking about 98 though when the suspension changed to SLA.

Tom, the story on it I heard is that it has a smaller carier. The D35 Hybrid is shorter side to side than the regular D35, so the carier is shorter side to side also... just what I heard though so take it for what its worth

I'll have to do a little research then because I have to open my front diff and will be installing a lockright when I do. According to their site, model 2311 is for the TJ with the D35 and the 2311S2 is for the Ranger.

Yes the carrier is smaller in width than a normal d35.
