Hey, so I’m new to the site. I have a 98 Ford Ranger 2.5L, rear wheel drive, manual transmission, and no A/C system (just to give a general idea of the truck we are working with). So lately when I accelerate (not cruising) I hear a clacking sound and it is quite loud when I’m between two cars. (It’s how I noticed it to begin with). So when I ease off the gas and only apply a little pressure to the pedal the clacking stops. I’m at a loss as to what it could be.
