99 tranny in a 92: Speed cable(mechanical) vs sensor(elec)
The 1999 Ranger is equipped with an electrical sensor as apposed to the mechanical cable on the 1992.
How can cable be fitted?
Also, what's the trick to getting clutch hydraulic fluid line fitting back into the slave cylinder?

Best is to get a '94 or older trans with mechanical cable hook up on trans.
Or you can use this: ECD-100
To drive the old speedo/odo
Or swap out the speedo/odo in the dash to electronic
Clutch hose from master uses a Quick Connect fitting, it has a "U" shaped keeper that should be in the slots when reinstalling, so you simply push it on and the tapered end on the slave line pushes open the keeper and allows it to snap back into place locking master hose to slave nipple.
To remove you push out the keeper, there is a forked tool for that but a couple of screwdrivers will usually work.
