cam syncro window 94 exp /ohv /ranger

here's my cam window when the harmonic is at the 0 degree mark aligned with the crank sensor needle .... want to make sure i got the cam position right having some difficulty after a tensioner job and now a refurbed set of heads my second question is can I replace the sensor without removing the syncro ????

Welcome to the forum

Yes, you can remove the two screws and pull off the old sensor and replace it with a new sensor, no re-timing would be needed.

Actually you time the 4.0l OHV Cam sensor using 26deg After TDC mark, which there isn't one on the crank pulley, lol

more concerned with the actual window and if these are correct for the top end rebuild ...never touched the syncro but I have turned the cams during a tensioner job so I would like a simple confirmation that this is the normal position for the old style cam sensor /syncro

see how this is an old type ?? I don't see a Build of Materials or the exploded view of this older style syncro ….#@$% ,,,dam thread locker stupid location stupid phillips head ….hex heads would of been nice in plain view obstructed need short wrenchs or crows...….. can get to it via a section of OSB across my engine bay ….dam the only place I seen that it was fairly easy to access was when the lower manifold was off : (
