Diff between 8.8 and 7.5?

Diff between 8.8 and 7.5?
I was wondering if theres a way to tell if I have a 8.8 rear end, I've heard that some edges have it. Mines a 3.0 with limited slip and 4.10 gears

All Edges after about 2002 have an 8.8.

easiest way is to look at it. A 7.5 diff cover is wider than it is tall, an 8.8 is taller than it is wide.

most likely if you have a edge its the 8.8

The 8.8 diff is mostly square.. the 7.5 is way more rectangular
there are also about 5 other ways to tell.
I'm betting you have the 8.8
