i wonder if superlift has that adaptor machined for them for their shafts?


or is it possible i got a 10yr old shelf unit that doesn't work on anything? lol.

oh, yeah that adapter was actually designed for Ford from Neapco.

Ford stopped making the output on the 1354s in 1997, so when the parts stopped working they had this adapter made so you could run some different shaft. something to that effect. It has been a while, that is what the ford dealer told me.

ford has a part number for that. i thought i had a thread on it.

i wanted to change my output on my original 1354, but you cant get the correct output parts.

nah i remember now, when ford stopped making that output shaft and changed the tcases, if they had issues with transfer cases they just put the new one in and used that adapter to make the stock pre 98 driveshaft still work.

your shop has crappy turn around time.....mine was less than 2 days...and they had a shop full of shafts to play with before they got to mine.

iight so if i get that piece part number that shane was talking about -- get some measurements i should be able to get a shaft made to the length to fit my D30 after i get some machining done to that piece shanes talking bout?

nvm, your leaving for the Marines, i was gonna say.. you could build some more of those adapters.

Well the shop that I took it too is in Witchita Falls, TX (45 min away) and they sent it to California to get cut and balanced. I think the reason it is taking so long, is the fact I sent it just before christmas, and who know's if the shop was even open around this time. That's why it's taking so long.

they couldn't have sent it to Austin Drive Train.. or what ever the new name is..?

No more 1 tire fire huh....someone's gettin locked I had a detroit in my 7.5 before I blew it sky high....I'll stick with a LS with the extra shim pack heheheheh
